Tour Overview

The Christ Redeemer statue, located at the top of Corcovado Mountain (710m/2330ft), is undoubtedly Brazil's most famous landmark. It is located in the Tijuca Forest National Park's first sector. Begin your hike at Parque Lage, an atlantic rainforest park with a beautiful and impressive old mansion and many century-old palm trees. The climb takes about two and a half hours, and the view from the top is very rewarding. It is considered one of Rio's most privileged belvederes.
