Tour Overview
'Left, right, get down' – no, not an abrasive gym instructor, but what you'll hear as you make your way down the Tenorio River rapids. This whitewater rafting tour is the epitome of Costa Rica – action and adventure in the wild.
After driving to Guanacaste's heart, you'll be given a safety briefing before donning a helmet and life vest. After that, you'll be rafting through the rainforest, so keep an eye out for wildlife like iguanas, monkeys, and tropical birds. Costa Rica is regarded as one of the best whitewater rafting destinations in the world, and there's a reason for that: category 3 and 4 rapids set against a lush tropical backdrop.
As you navigate the 13km route, your world-champion guide will guide you through the rapids and over the falls. You'll be treated to lunch after you've dried off. You can also drive yourself if you hire a 4x4 vehicle for a minimum of four guests, or you can be driven in a private minivan.
