Tour Overview
As you roll through sugar plantations and peaceful towns of the Yumuri Valley in a 4x4, you'll go where no automobile can go into the heart of Matanzas province. In just one day, you may visit the idyllic Coral Beach, dive in the spectacular Saturno Cave, eat lunch at a ranch, and take a river cruise.
The first destination is Coral Beach, where you may wade into the clear waters of this lovely bay and snorkel to the nearby reef, which is home to a swarm of multicolored corals, sponges, and fish. Then head to Saturno Cave, where you may snorkel and swim amid the stalagmites and fish.You'll also drive through Matanzas, the regional capital, where the faded beauty of Cuba's golden age is evoked by the peeling pastel-colored colonial buildings.
At Rancho Gaviota, you'll stop for lunch and experience a true Cuban rural setting. After lunch, leap in the saddle for a horseback ride before ending the day with a boat ride along the mangrove-fringed River Canimar.
