Tour Overview

You'll leave early in the morning for Itchimbia Hill, where you'll have a great view of Quito's Historic Center from the hill's summit at 2900m.

Itchimbia Park has 6,489 square meters of green space and 1,200 square meters of community space. It spans 54 hectares and is home to 400 different types of flowers, 40 different bird species, and one hectare of wetland. Its main attraction is the Cultural Center or Glass House, a structure made of iron and zinc imported from Hamburg.

You'll continue along Avenida 12 de Octubre, where you'll see the Legislative Palace with Midero's mural (called The History of the Country), Alameda Park with its Astronomical Observatory (the second oldest in South America), Simón Bolivar's monument,the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Basilica of Quito.

Then, from Plaza de la Independencia, you'll walk to the Cathedral of Quito, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, El Sagrario Church, La Compaa Church, the Monastery, and the Church of San Francisco, finishing at El Panecillo, a small hill with a panoramic view of the city.

Following that, you'll take a scenic drive up sixteen miles north of Quito to the Equator Line Latitude 0 ° 0'0 ". This is your chance to be in both hemispheres at the same time, with one foot in the northern and one foot in the southern.

Finally, before returning to your hotel, you will eat a typical Ecuadorian or international lunch in a restaurant.
