Tour Overview
Visit the world-famous Frida Kahlo Museum and two of Mexico City's most iconic districts, Xochimilco and Coyoacan.
First, you'll go to Xochimilco, a neighborhood that was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Once there, you'll enjoy a 1-hour private trajinera ride along its picturesque canals (a traditional flat-bottom boat decorated with colorful ornaments controlled by the boatman with a pole). You'll listen to traditional music performed by mariachi and sample traditional Mexican snacks while on the boat.
Following that, you'll travel to Coyoacán's historic district to see the Frida Kahlo Museum (La Casa Azul), where the painter spent almost her entire life and created some of her most famous works. Following a guided tour of the museum, you'll explore the surrounding area, stopping by old churches and squares.
You can also go to a local market and one of the neighborhood's oldest coffee shops, where you can try authentic churros and delicious Veracruz coffee. Finally, after a half-day of exploration, you'll take a leisurely drive back to your hotel.
