Tour Overview

The journey begins with a stop in Barranco, a bohemian neighborhood filled with cultural galleries, coffee shops, and street art. You will also be able to appreciate the republican architecture. Then, after passing through the main square and the Bridge of Sighs, you will be able to appreciate the Bajada de Baos (Lowered of the Baths), a stone route that leads to the city's beaches.

After that, you'll go 30 kilometers south of Lima to the Pachacamac Archaeological Sanctuary. It was constructed out of adobe and has a view of the sea and the Lurin River Valley. Many ancient Peruvian cultures used it as a pilgrimage destination. The earliest civilizations were around 5000 B.C. The structure was altered to become an administrative center when the Incas arrived, respecting and adapting the existing architecture.

Pachacamac is divided into three sections: the administrative, which includes the Acllahuasi, the Palace of Tauri Chumpi, and the Pilgrimage Plaza; and the religious, which includes the Acllahuasi, the Palace of Tauri Chumpi, and the Pilgrimage Plaza. The religious zone, which includes many temples such as the Temple of the Sun and the Moon, and the residential zone, which comes last. You'll also go to the Pachacamac Site Museum to learn more about the location and appreciate the relics that have been saved.

Barranco was a fishermen's area, and its beaches were popular with Lima's upper-middle class, who built European-style ranches and houses there. When the Incas arrived on the Lima coast in 1470, they built the Temple of the Sun, which is the highest section of the complex and faces the sea.

It is the largest temple on the Peruvian coast, constructed entirely of red adobes. You will return to your accommodation at the end of the excursion.
