Tour Overview
This tour allows you to take in the peacefulness that the Fuegian countryside and its southern mountain range have to offer. The excursion begins with a bus ride northwest on National Route No. 3 from Ushuaia. The Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains, as well as the Carbajal valley, are worth seeing. On both sides of the highway, there are various valleys where diverse winter activities such as husky sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling are available. You will be in front of the Garibaldi Pass when you get at the highest point for traversing the Andes mountain range in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
Great views of the Escondido and Fagnano Lakes, as well as the former National Route No. 3 in the Patagonian Andean forest, may be seen from this vantage point.
The journey continues until it passes by the Bronzovich sawmill, which is active and of significant size on the shores of Lake Escondido. Then you'll arrive at Lake Fagnano, which is one of South America's largest, measuring more than 100 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide.
On your journey back to Ushuaia, you'll stop at one of the winter resorts and sample a local specialty: Fuegian Lamb at the Stake (lunch not included). After lunch, you'll have some time to rest before heading back to Ushuaia.
